i-Pac Communications Ltd [trading as Unwired Fiji (Unwired)] is a licensed internet service provider that began operations in mid-2005. Unwired’s key focus was on delivering wireless broadband internet through an independent communications network. Over time, the company’s operations have been integrated under Digicel Fiji, to expand Unwired’s 4G services and infrastructure across Fiji, including areas like Labasa and Savusavu. The company is currently in the final testing phase of a new wireless network, Unwired Fiji Skyfibre, tailored for the corporate market. This new network employs proprietary wireless technology that will run parallel to the existing broadband infrastructure and is slated for launch later this year.
